Our kids live in a highly stimulating world where they are busier and under more pressure than ever before. Yoga offers them a time to step away from this and learn tools and strategies to help them cope with they day to day stresses of our busy modern lives.

    Yoga helps children learn that their body and mind are worth taking care of. That they can engage in practices like yoga, mindfulness, movement, meditation, breathing and affirmations in a way that is really enjoyable and makes them feel great. Helping them build a practice of taking care of their physical and mental wellbeing for their whole lives.

  • Balance, strength & co-ordination.

    Practicing the yoga poses through story, partner work, games and activities helps children build up physical strength to improve their balance, flexibility and overall strength especially core strength. They learn to control and improve the movement of their bodies which can benefit the way they learn and perform in school.

  • Self-esteem & confidence.

    Yoga is a non-competetive environment for children to move and connect with their bodies in a positive non-judgemental way. In yoga classes we explore themes like kindness, compassion, confidence, growth mindset and resilliance. Children build confidence by trying new things in a supportive, encouraging environment and are encouraged to build a positive body image and sense of self.

  • Emotional regulation.

    Children aren’t born knowing how to recognise, calm and regulate their emotions, it’s something they learn. In yoga classes children lean and practice tools to calm their bodies and minds.

For Childcare Centres

Shake those sillies out and wiggle those waggles away. Vanessa is masterful at engaging little ones in fun, story based yoga that will take their imaginations on a journey and their minds and bodies to a state of calm.

With over 7 years teaching yoga in schools Vanessa is available to teach at schools in the Perth Metro Area.

Vanessa will take them on an imaginary yoga journey including fun transport and animal yoga poses, songs, breathing exercises finishing with a relaxation.

A 5 week program where all your students get to experience the mental & physical benefits of yoga.

By attending yoga each week children build up not only physical benefits but develop a whole toolkit of emotional regulation, mindfulness & breathing strategies that will stay with them for life.

2 full days of yoga sessions per week for 5 weeks.

Includes 1 x 60 minute session for teachers & staff.
